About Space York
Space York is a community-led co-working Space located in the heart of York City, UK.
We offer affordable workspaces and community for individuals and small businesses in the creative, cultural, and nonprofit sectors. Our goal is to serve as a hub promoting social and cultural innovation in York. We work on a monthly membership basis with a dedicated desk for each member. (We don't offer hot desking.)
We’re located in a light, spacious loft area above Brew York, on Walmgate. We offer desks on a monthly membership basis, as well as meeting rooms for casual hire.
We are also dog friendly and have two dogs [Barney and Dennis] as part of the wider membership.
Space York is run by volunteers and is a nonprofit community interest company (no. 14421890).
Accessibility
Space York is located on the 2nd floor of the Brew York building on Walmgate.
Access to the co-working space is via two flights of stairs, and we share the Brew York toilet facilities located on the 1st floor.
Unfortunately, the existing service lift in the building is not licensed to carry passengers.
The Space York CIC team aims to offer an inclusive, welcoming co-working experience for all, so we are exploring options to improve accessibility to the premises over time and as funding allows.
